The 3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need

All affiliate marketers are constantly searching for that particular and successful market that would give them fat returns and a big paycheck.

Obviously there is no magic formula to achieve this and it is much more complicated to find a successful market

Oh boy! Wish there was a magic word – hocus pocus ! Buy my product !!!

Infact there are affiliate marketers who really think that there is a code or a magic formula that is readily available.

It is much more complicated than that.

It is only good marketing practices that have been proven to be successful and of course hard work and dedication.

Ofcourse, there are those basic tactics that have worked before with online marketing and would still work with the current online affiliate marketing world.

Mentioned below are three tips, with which you will be able to able to increase, your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

1. Use unique web pages to promote each of the products that you market

Try not to load all the products together in one site so as to save some money on web hosting. It is much wiser to have a site focusing on each product.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Try and include any testimonials from people who have already purchased and tried the product. This makes a lot of difference. However, try and confirm with the users that whether it is okay to use their name for marketing purposes. In most cases they would only be willing to allow you to use their details and photographs on the site of the specific product that you are marketing.

You can also write articles about the product, while highlighting its uses and try and include them on the website as an additional page. Design the pages so that they are attractive and compel and attract readers. In fact, each headline should attract the readers as to try and read more and if possible even try and contact you. Make sure that all the special points are highlighted. All this would only help your readers to learn what the page is about and what it has to offer and more than that, it makes them curious and want to find out more.

2. Always try and make available free reports / downloads to your readers

Position them in such a way in your page so that they simply cannot be missed.

If possible position them at the very top side of your page so that their presence is evident. Try and create autoresponder messages that will send mails to all those who input their personal information into your sign up box. It is said as per research that, generally a sale is closed on the seventh contact with a prospect. Ofcourse this is only market reports analyzing visitor inflow, traffic and purchases. This doesn’t take into account the number of first time visitors who just drop by and never come back.

There are only two things can possibly happen with the web page – either a closed sale or the chances are that the prospect would leave, never to return. You can try and stop this by placing useful information into their inboxes at certain times so that they are reminded about the product that they intended to purchase later. However, make sure that the content is geared and directed toward a specific reason or reasons to buy the product.

Kindly try not make it sound like a sales pitch. I have done this mistake more than once and messed up quite a number of sales and hence this advise.

Try to be subtle and casually try and focus on those important points like how the product can make things easier and enjoyable for the buyer. Again try and include subtle, but compelling subject lines in your email.

Oops another point

Try not to overuse the word “free” too much as most spam filters dump such kind of mail. Infact there are those older spam filters that dumps these kind of mail without even giving it a second look and before anyone can even read them. So try and convince the people who signed up for your free reports / downloads to make a note about your address in their spam folders and that they could be missing out on something big if they do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is only targeted to your product

In other words, just imagine someone who visited your site, and it appears that they seem to have no interest in what the site has to offer. So it is highly likely that he or she would only move on and ever return.

Also try and write articles and get it published in article directories, ezines and other free e-reports. This would enable you to pin-point publications that are focusing on your target customers. The rest is easy, all you got to do is put up what they want and just get their interest.

My policy is to try and write a minimum of 2 articles and 2 posts per week, with at least 400 words in length. Ofcourse it can be anywhere between 250 to 600 words. It all applies to how much time you have in your hands

By continuously writing and maintaining these articles on a weekly basis, you can certainly generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.

But remember that only 1 in a 100 people would likely to buy your product or may be interested in your services. So, if you are able to generate and deliver as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your site in a day. This indirectly means that you can make atleast 10 sales based on the average statistics.

As these three tactics that are given above does not appear to be very difficult, try and implement them weekly. All it requires is a bit of time and effort from your part.

Now try and use these tips for various affiliate marketing programs. You end up making a good source of income from this business that not all affiliate marketers are able to achieve

Why Do Many People Fail In Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing and banner advertising has been around on the Web for quite sometime now, but there are still a lot of people who doesn't know much or even nothing about it.

Most of the people that don't know about affiliate marketing and has just discovered it normally thinks that they can make a quick buck or two. Well that's not the case.

To do well in affiliate-marketing is not just a one-day task.

Affiliate marketing is like an on going assignment where you have to try different things out like different advertising techniques, different ways of adding affiliate banners and text links to your site, etc. You may even have to join a number of affiliate programs just to see which ones performs the best with the other content that you already have on your site.

Another thing is that many affiliates expect to do well from just having a list of about 20 affiliated banners on one page of their site. Well that's not exactly true as people will see your web page and won't even bother clicking on any of the banners to go to your affiliated sites as your web page just looks like a link farm. How people think they can make money this way, I really don't know as affiliate marketing takes time and effort before any results can be seen.

If you are thinking of banner-advertising, ie., adding affiliate banners or text links to your site, then the best thing to do is for you to add affiliate links or banners to your site that is on the same topic as the other information on your web page. By doing this, you will not want to add too many affiliated banners or text links as it will just look like a page of links and will only turn your visitors away, about three affiliated links should be enough depending on how large the web page is.

Another important aspect in affiliate marketing is advertising or banner-advertising.

You can't expect to add affiliate material to your site and expect to receive sales straight away. If you have no traffic coming to your site, then you will not get any sales. Infact, directly advertising the affiliate links or adding the affiliate links to your website and advertising that is probably one of the most important things that you will need to do to have any chance of succeeding. This is because the more you promote your affiliate link or site that contains the affiliate links, then the more clickthru's your affiliate links are likely to receive, which is then most likely to result in more sales.

Hope your sales go thru the roof with banner-advertising and affiliate marketing

Affiliate Marketing - Parallel Income During The Early Stages

AAffiliate marketing has been around for sometime, but only few know how to make some serious money online with them.

In fact, affiliate-marketing is a great work from home business available to anyone with a computer and a desire to run their own affiliate business. Basically, all you need is a desk, a chair, a computer, an internet and an e-mail connection and possibly a word processor and a html editor

What is Affiliate Marketing and How Does it Work? Most of us know that affiliate programs are making people rich ! If anyone has told you that you can't make money online with affiliate programs, they either don't know much about affiliate marketing, or they don't want to share their know how with you. It's no wonder that only 5% to 10% of affiliates make money.

So what is the solution ? Either decide to go through the grind, which will take quite some time to set up your home business or, hire someone else to do it for you. Now, if you chose the first option, I can't say your choice is bad, as no books nor any marketing courses can come anywhere close to pure practical experience. (James Martell and Rosalind Gardner) are two such examples of self-taught successful affiliate marketers.

But the problem is time. By the time you start to make money online, a couple of months would have gone by. Moreover, you must also not get caught up in the trap of learning and not earning. It is VERY essential that you start to make some money online as early as possible, so as to fund your initial affiliate campaign and other minor expenses. Bottom line is that you can gather as much practical experience as you want, BUT also with a parallel income.

Alternately, you can try to obtain a FREE web page, preferably with a name (or close to a name) you plan to use later as your domain. Naturally, you can get such a page only as a sub-domain i.e., (http://www.abc.com/yourname) of some other main site.

Even then it is better to have such a page, rather than getting on such as (http://www.abc.com/?12345) This makes no sense, unless it is an established money spinning page.

If you can get such a FREE web page, your next step would be to sign up as an affiliate with good programs and start promoting their products in your free web page. In fact, you can use it to start your affiliate career.

While marketing your new FREE web page, you can study Internet and affiliate marketing, affiliate programs, through some good free downloads. You also learn first hand on how to run an affiliate campaign. Your main and only job would be to advertise your FREE web page, by submitting it to search engines, e-mail it to friends, colleagues and others. You also get familiar with search engine marketing, affiliate networks, affiliate directories and traffic exchanges

As there is no telling when you would start to make money the FREE page gives you a sort of backup. However, if you market it well, the chances are within a month or so, you shall see some income trickling in. This also provides you with considerable room for trial and error. Another advantage is that you can set your own time frame. Most guys who have made it have invested heavily in their initial stages, only to realize later, that it was more of a waste.

Nonetheless, it is essential you set a shoestring budget, set a time-frame (say 3 months, if not 6 months maximum). If you don't see any form of income trickling in by then, it is better to let it take a back seat and give more impetus to your primary job. This does not mean to forget it completely, as there are holidays, nights and other free time. Because, the phases vary, the 1st phase (first 6 months) could be slow; the next could be slightly better etc.

Alternately, try your hand at surveys, data entry, transcription, surf traffic exchanges, write freelance articles (to name a few) that can meet your daily expenses. People generally tend to forget the value of time (calculate the average hourly wages you may get if you were employed, and multiply this sum by the time-frame you tend to dedicate to your new business - you will be surprised to note that it could be a tidy sum). Although you can consider this as your investment, it is extremely important that you set a fixed time frame - I am quoting this from personal experience.

It could be a while before it sort of hits you. This is so because, like all other form of businesses, you have to get the 'IDEA' of how it works. It could be just a spark, and it could happen in a single day or even an hour then things will start falling in place.

You'll never make it if you think that if it could for John Doe, it could work for me. No matter, how many books and courses you study. In short, trying to memorize algebra, physics formulas or organic chemistry will not get you anywhere - You achieve success in these areas only if you understand the concept.

Once you slowly get the hang of things, slowly register your own domain, set up a website, do your marketing research, identify niche and affiliate marketing opportunities.

This is relatively an easy way to make this parallel income during the early stages of your affiliate marketing. Here's wishing you success in your home business and that you make money online through affiliate marketing
